May 15, 2013 – Baldwin Park, CA --For 2013, Shademaker, the premier line of umbrellas for restaurants, resorts, country clubs and high end residential designers, announces the addition of the newest design, the Polaris. The Polaris will offer advanced functionality in a square 13 foot (4.0 M) side post model.

The Polaris provides a full 13’ (4.0M) square shade expanse. The side post umbrella’s capabilities include full rotation from a single non-obstructive installation point providing 169 square feet of shade. The umbrella mast retracts when use is not desired. While eliminating barriers to outdoor room planning and patron flow, the side post design of Shademaker’s Polaris was developed to mount in concrete or in ground.

Unger's line of Sculptural Firebowls have been commissioned by world class hospitality properties including RumFire, Waikiki; SouthWest Porch, Bryant Park, NYC; The Canyons Resort in Park City, UT and dozens more. Restaurant patrons enjoy the firebowls' warmth and social atmosphere while also creating a fun treat.

John T. Unger handcrafts his art from 100% recycled, American made steel. "If my job as an artist is to fill the world with 'more things,'" said Unger, "I feel it is equally important that I reclaim materials from the waste stream to make space for my work."
The durability of the steel incorporated into the firebowl designs delivers long outdoor life as well as low maintenance; a welcome feature for public locations. Sculptural Firebowls carry a Dynasty Guarantee. "I design for permanence," said Unger. "My firebowls will last for generations, not just a single lifetime." His designs can be used with wood fires or can be converted to propane or natural gas with simple, drop-in conversion kits.
The fire bowl designs lend themselves to creativity in installation as well. Adorning walls and water features, the combination of earth elements offers a striking image and a sought-after entertainment component for contract facilities.

élan furnitureTM launches high design interior furnishings collection in collaboration with award winning Chicago designer, Dale Fahnstrom

Manufactured in élan’s Wakarusa, Indiana facility, the dining and lounge seating pieces in the collection include back and seat elements of formed maple veneer and structural frames precision crafted from architectural aluminum extrusions. Durable for residential or commercial use, the materials utilized within The Bridge Collection are sourced in the U.S.
Fahnstrom, principal of Dale Fahnstrom Product Design and partner in the consulting firm of Fahnstrom/White, has won numerous design awards nationally and internationally for his product designs. His interest in designing environmentally responsible products includes his RecycleDesignTM line of outdoor public seating and site amenities from which a bench was selected for the Design Museum, London. “The desire to create a collection incorporating my design and philosophical style to furnishings with residential and commercial appeal drew me to this project,” said Fahnstrom. “I saw the high design direction of Chad and his company as reflective of work I had been doing and a great fit with my desire to deliver my design esthetic and expertise to a new marketplace.”
Items within The Bridge Collection will be available for delivery in Spring 2013 with lounge seating coming in the Fall. For more information about élan furnitureTM and The Bridge Collection by Dale Fahnstrom, visit www.elanfurniturecorp.com or call 877.442.0278.
Treasure Garden To Add High Point Market To 2013 Trade Show Schedule With Exhibit On Second Floor of Showplace
Baldwin Park, CA – March 19, 2013 -- For Spring 2013, Treasure Garden, award-winning manufacturer of outdoor shade and accessory products, will exhibit at the bi-annual High Point Market April 20-25, 2013. Treasure Garden products will be on display at Showplace 2600.
“Treasure Garden’s decision to add High Point Market to our trade show schedule was motivated by the growth we are seeing in traditional furniture retailers adding outdoor products to their stores,” Jeff B. Dorough, vice president, sales and marketing, Treasure Garden, Baldwin Park, Calif. “As the High Point Market is aware of this trend and promoting the category to their large number of national and international buyers, we see it as a beneficial platform for our products.”
With the decision to secure space within the multi-level Showplace building, Treasure Garden also will be able to capitalize upon the large number of outdoor manufactures already showing within the building’s temporary spaces.
“Our investment in our multiple trade show efforts within the past three years including the redesign of our permanent showroom in Chicago’s Merchandise Mart, has been a part of our overall company goal to tap into new and diverse markets,” said Margaret Chang, C.O.O., Treasure Garden. “With the addition of The High Point Market, we are exposing our products to another growing segment of outdoor consumers.”
Treasure Garden will promote their debut at the Market via publicity, direct mail and online and social media. For more information, visit www.treasuregarden.com, or email info@treasuregarden.com.
