Shademaker Teams Up To Exhibit In Multi-Line Outdoor Venue during April High Point Market


Shademaker, the premier line of shade for the finest restaurants, resorts, and country clubs around the world, will exhibit for the first time in April at the High Point Market in a shared venue with multiple outdoor contract/hospitality product manufacturers.    

Baldwin Park, CA – March 28, 2013  —Shademaker, designer and manufacturer of luxury contract/hospitality shade products, announces that it will exhibit at the High Point Market at the Alamo Courtyard, 317 South Hamilton. Shademaker will be exhibiting its entire line of architectural shade styles with a few of the finest brands in outdoor contract furnishings. The show will take place on April 20th, and conclude on April 25th.

March 27, 2013 – Goshen, Ind. --  élan furnitureTM, a high design furniture manufacturer headquartered in Goshen, Ind., announces the launch of The Bridge Collection, its latest American made furnishing line. The contemporary collection, including indoor dining tables and seating, is a collaboration between élanTM and award winning designer and former director of the Institute of Design, Chicago, Ill., Dale Fahnstrom. The Bridge Collection features relational design between natural materials and industrial elements crafted with contemporary styling.

A lightness yet strength is incorporated into each piece in the collection.”

Manufactured in élan’s Wakarusa, Indiana facility, the dining and lounge seating pieces in the collection include back and seat elements of formed maple veneer and structural frames precision crafted from architectural aluminum extrusions. Durable for residential or commercial use, the materials utilized within The Bridge Collection are sourced in the U.S.

Fahnstrom, principal of Dale Fahnstrom Product Design and partner in the consulting firm of Fahnstrom/White, has won numerous design awards nationally and internationally for his product designs. His interest in designing environmentally responsible products includes his RecycleDesignTM line of outdoor public seating and site amenities from which a bench was selected for the Design Museum, London.  “The desire to create a collection incorporating my design and philosophical style to furnishings with residential and commercial appeal drew me to this project,” said Fahnstrom. “I saw the high design direction of Chad and his company as reflective of work I had been doing and a great fit with my desire to deliver my design esthetic and expertise to a new marketplace.”

The award was presented during the Second Annual Casual Living Conference in Tucson, Ariz. Held February 20-22, 2013.
